Dennis R. Murphy

Dennis R. Murphy, 72, died, Aug. 16, 2022, at his home in Scott City.

He was born on May 11, 1950, in Ransom, the son of Robert Joseph and Betty Lee (Hemel) Murphy, Sr.

A resident of Scott City since 2002, moving from northern California, he was a retired parts manager for Roto-Mix of Scott City.

Survivors include his one son, Joseph N. Murphy, Whitehall, Mont.; four brothers, Larry Murphy and wife, Marlene, Scott City, Robert Murphy and wife, Pam, Scott City, Charles Murphy and wife, Gail, Scott City, and Melvin Murphy and wife, Denise, Olathe; three sisters, Kathy Lewis and husband, Curt, Des Moines, Ia., Susan Speer, Dighton, and Sandra Murphy, of Arkansas; and five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

There will be no calling times.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be written to the Dennis Murphy Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Homes, Box 553, Scott City, Ks. 67871.

Inurnment will be in the Pyramid View Cemetery in Logan County, Ks.
