Survivors include his wife, Maria Cortez Lopez, Scott City; two sons, Eric Frances Cortez, Dodge City, and Jeremy Frances Cortez, Scott City; his mother, Paula Chino Castro, Guerrero, Mexico; seven brothers, Marcelo Frances Chino, Phoenix, Ariz., Vidal Frances Chi no, Phoenix, Ariz., Fredi Frances Chino, Scott City, Hildeberto Frances Chino, Phoenix, Ariz., Arturo Frances Chino, Guerrero, Mexico, Angel Frances Chino, Guerrero, Mexico, and Sirino Frances Chino, Guerrero, Mexico; two sisters, Guadalupe Frances Chino, Guerrero, Mexico, and Irairis Frances Chino, Guerrero, Mexico.
He was preceded in death by his father; grandfather, Pudenciano Chino Carrera; and grandmother, Rosa Castro Ramirez.
Vigil service was held May 22 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Scott City.
Funeral service was held May 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Don Bedore presiding.
