Garrett Scott See
Garrett Scott See, 44, died June 11, 2025, at Riverbend Post Acute Rehabilitation in Kansas City.
He was born on August 28, 1980, in Scott City, the son of Scott and Aleta (Williams) See.
He was a 1999 graduate of Scott Community High School and attended Fort Hays State University in Hays. He received his degree in computer science from DeVry University.
He was employed by the IT department of the Kearny County Hospital in Lakin and USD 466 in Scott City.
He loved tabletop gaming which gave him the opportunity to bring stories and joy to his table with great creativity, quick wit and keen intellect. He loved learning and was an avid documentary enthusiast.
Garrett’s health struggles led him to Kansas City to have better access to health care. For the last 10 years, he lived with his brother, Wyatt See, in Leavenworth and worked supporting the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his parents, Scott City; brother, Wyatt See and wife, Allie Walsh-See, Leavenworth; nephew, Bradley Walsh, Leavenworth; his cats, Athena and Jackson; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Duane and Molly Williams, and Walter and Phyllis See, and one uncle, Allan Hoeme.
A graveside memorial service was held June 20 at the Scott County Cemetery with Pastor Don Williams presiding.
