Glenda Staats

Glenda Kay Staats, 70, died Sept. 16, 2025, at her home in Kansas City.

She was born on Jan. 17, 1955, in Montezuma, the daughter of Glen and Marjy (Standley) Staats.

She had an associates degree in applied science from Garden City Community College. Glenda grew up on the family farm and in Scott City.

Glenda worked most of her life in retail customer service. Her favorite job was as a door greeter at Costco.

Survivors include her sons, Michael Marcy, Kansas City, and Nathaniel Gough, McPherson; daughters, Rebecca Gough, Robstown, Tex., and Alexis Stortz, Beloit; brother, Ron Staats, Cimarron; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Danny Staats.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 9:30--10:30 a.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington, Scott City.

The funeral service will follow at Price & Sons Funeral Home, at 10:30 a.m., with Steve Payne presiding.

Inurnment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
