Glenda Lou Vorse

Glenda Lou Vorse, 78, died, January 9, 2023.

She was born the daughter of Albert and Bertha (Morgan) Hobbs on January 12, 1944, in Scotts Bluff, Nebr.

On December 24, 1960, Glenda and Thomas Vorse were united in marriage. They celebrated 42 years of marriage before he died in January of 2003.

Survivors include her son, Trent Vorse, San Diego, Calif.; daughter, Tracy Dougherty and husband, Mike, Iola; grandchildren, Morgan Vorse, Wichita, Kevin Vorse, Fort Collins, Colo., Antonio Marino and wife, Brandy, Wellington, Colo., Todd Woodruff, Iola, Traylee Pickens and husband, Brandon, Newton, Brandon Woodruff, Joplin, Mo., Kathryn Woodruff, Humbolt, and Grady Dougherty, Iola, great-grandchildren: Makayla, Mackenzi, Kennedy, Colston, Skyla, Landon, Aria, Knox, Graham, Rhett, Maddie, Riggins and Eli.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Nathan Hobbs, Clinton Hobbs and Richard (R.S.) Hobbs; and her three sisters, Cleta Schmidt, Zuma Hobbs and Nelda Schwanz.

A memorial service for Glenda will be held Sat., January 14, 1:00 p.m., in the chapel of Cornejo Funeral Home and Crematory in Wellington, Ks.
