Harley C. Hillery

Harley C. Hillery, 71, died, Feb. 1, 2024, at the High Plains Retirement Village, Lakin.

He was born on March 30, 1952, in Scott City, the son of Harley Clifford and Patricia Mae (Stevens) Hillery.

A lifetime resident of Lakin, he worked at various feed yards and farms including Brookover Cattle Company.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Scott City, and attended the Assembly Of God Church, Lakin.

Harley attended Scott City schools through his freshman year and later attained his GED. In 1973, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and received an honorable discharge.

Survivors include his mother, of Oakley; sisters, Garee Geist-Smith and husband, Clifton, Scott City, and Joy Haverfield and husband, Jay, Colby; brother, Lee Hillery and wife, Michelle, Winona; 10 nieces and nephews, nine great-nieces and nephews, and one greatgreat- nephew.

He was preceded in death by his father.

A memorial service will be held Sat., Feb. 10, 2:00 p.m. Due to predicted inclement weather, a memorial service will be held at the residence of Lee and Michelle Hillary, 207 DeGreer St., Winona.

There will be no calling times.
