Helen Delay

Helen L. Delay, 83, died, Nov. 22, 2022 at Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City.

She was born on Nov. 9, 1939, in Kinsley, the daughter of Theodore and Elsie (Spears) Bernatski.

A resident of Scott City since 2016, moving from Lewis, she was a homemaker.

On Oct. 13, 1956, she married Dale Delay in Clayton, N.M. He died on Nov. 29, 2015, in Scott City.

Survivors include her one son, Joe Delay and wife, Jody, Schaumburg, Ill.; two daughters, Leatrice DiLoreto and husband, Mike, Longmont, Colo., and Dawn Hutchins and husband, Devin, Scott City; one sister, Audrey Huffman, Sioux City, Ia.; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Dorothy Danler and Ruth Domme; and one brother, Robert Bernatski.

There will be no visitation times.

Inurnment will be in the Lewis Cemetery.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.
