James Fisher
James Dale Fisher, Jr., 78, died at his home in Scott City on April 9, 2025.
He was born on Sept.7, 1946, in Nashville, Ks., to James Dale and Mary Ann (Vierthaler) Fisher.
After graduating from high school, James earned a bachelors degree in history from Fort Hays State University.
He entered the U.S. Army in June of 1968 and rose to the rank of SP5.
After returning home, James became a teacher and coach for several sports.
He was resident of Scott City for the past decade.
Survivors include his children, Sarah Reasoner and husband, Josh, Riley, Ks., and Ben Fisher, Tribune; his siblings, Richard Fisher, Sterling, Mary Francis and partner, Curtis York, Healy, and Mark Fisher, Ingalls; a sisterin- law, Sharon Fisher, Hutchinson; two grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
James was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Terry Fisher.
Memorials may be given to the Kansas Wrestling Coaches Association in care of Price and Sons Funeral Homes, Box 161, Leoti, Ks. 67861.
