Janice (Teague) Williams

Janice (Teague) Williams, 85, Oakley, died December 14, 2021, at the Logan County Manor, Oakley.

She was the youngest daughter of Bill and Flossie (Wright) Teague, born on Sept. 27, 1936, in Gove County.

Janice married John E. Williams of Russell Springs on June 3, 1953.

Survivors include her three children, Nyla Holaday and husband, Rick, Oakley, Johnnie Williams and wife, Donna, Page City, and Jena Roe, San Antonio, Tex.; a sister, Laretta Simonsen, Oakley; grandchildren, Ricky Holaday and wife, Andrea, Amanda Brown and husband, Wilburt, Jerri Beesley and husband, Tyrel, Jessi Williams, Daniel Williams, Easton Roe and Peyton Roe and wife Alex; 12 great-grandchildren, Christian, Bailey, Abigail and MaKala Holaday, Ava, Nyleea and Mason Brown, and Ellie, Clare, Marie, Jack and Katharine Beesley.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Irene Cunningham; and brothers-in-law, Charles Cunningham and Ral S. Simonsen.

Janice enjoyed bowling and going dancing. Her favorite hobbies were knitting and sewing. She also loved to be around family and friends.

Many of her friends knew her from working at the Eagles Club, Vets Club and the original Sonic in Oakley. She also worked at JC Penney and Pennington’s Drug Store.

Janice will be missed by many family, friends and workers at Logan County Manor.

A memorial service will take place on Sat., January 8, 2:00 p.m., at Baalmann Mortuary, Oakley.
