Jim L. Lisenby
Jim L. Lisenby, 68, died, on July 9, 2022, at his home in Scott County.
He was born on July 10, 1953, in Mount Vernon, Ill., the son of William Woodrow and LeEtta (Leneave) Lisenby.
He had been a resident of Scott City since 1972, moving from Mount Vernon. He was a truck driver until retiring in 2017.
He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Scott City, and of the NRA.
On Nov. 26, 1972, he married Patsy Faurot in Mount Vernon. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Shawna Lyon and husband, Matt, Hays, and Amie Lisenby, Wewoka, Okla.; one son, Jeromy Lisenby and wife, Lindsey, Scott City; four sisters, Ruby Tinsley, Mount Vernon, Ill., Sue Triefenbach, Lenzburg, Ill., Wanda Shepler, DuQuoin, Ill., and Reba Howard, Dix, Ill.; nine grandchildren, Jordyn, Jarrett, Brittany, Sarah, Shelby, Eli, Keri, Koltin and Kyler; and four greatgrandchildren, Keyliana, Kambryn, Giovaughnni and Presley.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wendell “Jed”; and nephew, Mark Shane Stratton.
The funeral service was held on July 14 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Scott City, with Pastor Michael Hageman presiding.
Interment was in the Scott County Cemetery.
