Johnny Ray Rohrbough
Johnny Ray Rohrbough, 76, of Pleasant Dale, Nebr., died May 10, 2025.
He was born on August 18, 1948, in Scott City, to Elton Gay Rohrbough and MaryLee (Sterling) Teelander.
Johnny graduated from Scott Community High School and Fort Hays State University with a double bachelors degree in business and computer science.
He was united in marriage to Berneta Rose on February 13, 1971. She survives.
After college he farmed in Scott City for several years before moving to Nebraska where he had a construction business before launching his 20 year career training thoroughbred race horses.
He then took a 15 year endeavor, where he was instrumental in founding, building and operating the Cornhusker Energy Lexington Ethanol Plant, prior to it selling in 2016 to Chief Industries. He revolutionized the wet distillers grain industry.
Johnny was an avid golfer, outdoorsman and loved spending time with his family.
He is also survived by his sons, Tydd Rohrbough, Pleasant Dale, Nebr., and Shadd Rohrbough and wife Krista, Lincoln, Nebr.; a brother, Frankie Rohrbough and wife, Carol, Altamont; grandchildren, Emily Wisniewski and husband, Justin, Lincoln, Nebr., Serena Davis and husband, Austin, Lake Stevens, Wash., Trevor Rohrbough, Albuquerque, N.M., and Kaleb Blakemore, Lincoln, Nebr.; great-grandchildren, Madison, Deegan and Xander; three other siblings, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on June 12, at 3:00 p.m., at the Denton Community Center, 7115 Lancaster Ave., Denton, Nebr.
