Juan Carlos Paredes Lopez

Juan Carlos Paredes Lopez, 50, died Nov. 22, 2025, at Ascension Via Christi St. Francis in Wichita.

He was born on Aug. 16, 1975, in Aguascalientes, Mexico, the son of Ramon Paredes Martinez and Francisca Lopez Juarez.

A resident of Scott City since 2023, moving from Aguascalientes, Mexico, he worked at the Nissan Car Warehouse in Aguascalientes and then for Foote Cattle Company, Dighton.

He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Scott City.

On July 27, 1996, he married Maricela Gonzalez Murillo in Aguascalientes. She survives.

Other survivors include his daughters, Arely Guadalupe Paredes Gonzalez, Aguascalientes, Mexico, Karel Paredes Gonzalez, Scott City, and Sofia Paredes Gonzalez, Scott City; his father, Aguascalientes; brothers, Juan Ramon Paredes Baez, Aguascalientes, and Vicente Paredes Lopez, Aguascalientes; sisters, Marisol Paredes Lopez, Aguascalientes, and Fatima Paredes Baez, Aguascalientes; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother; daughters, Karla Mariela Paredes Gonzalez and Alison Ariel Paredes Gonzalez; sister, Teresa Paredes Lopez; brothers, Raul Paredes Lopez, Antonio Paredes Lopez and Israel Paredes Lopez; nephew, Gerardo Paredes Perez; and niece, Marina Paredes Murillo.

Public visitation will be Sat., Nov. 29, 11:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00-5:00 p.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington Street, Scott City.

Vigil service will be held Sun., Nov. 30, 7:00 p.m., at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Funeral service will be held on Mon., Dec. 1, 2:00 p.m., at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Don Bedore presiding.

Interment will be in Aguascalientes, Mexico.
