Kamdyn Paul Henry Moore

Kamdyn Paul Henry Moore, 16, died, Sept. 17, 2023, in Scott County.

He was born on April 7, 2007, in Clovis, N.M., the son of Kevin Moore and Lela Ross.

A lifetime resident of Scott County, he was a student at Scott Community High School. Kamdyn was a Native American enrolled with the Wichita Tribe. His Native name is Running Wind.

Kamdyn was a member of the Prairie View Church of the Brethren in Friend. He was also a member of 4-H, National Junior Hereford Association, and Kansas Junior Hereford Association.

Survivors include his father, Kevin Moore, Scott City; mother, Lela Ross, Tucumcari, N.M.; sister, Charli Moore, Modoc; siblings, Nicolas Martinez, Angie French, Braxton French, Dynamite Jones, all Tucumcari, N.M.; grandparents, Charles and Darla Moore, Modoc, Teresa Crisman, Logan, N.M., and Vincent Ross, Amarillo, Tex.; great-grandparents, Gerald and Delores Reed, Logan, N.M., and Wallace Thompson, Borger, Tex.; 10 aunts and uncles, including Dana and David Pieper, Zurich, Shellie and Colby Collins, Chattanooga, Okla., Heather and Dan Renier, Oronoco, Minn.; and several cousins.

Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00-8:00 p.m., and Sunday from 1:00-8:00 p.m. at Price and Sons Funeral Home, 401 S. Washington St., Scott City.

The funeral service will be held Mon., Sept. 25, 10:30 a.m., at the First Baptist Church in Scott City with Rev. Jon Tuttle presiding.

A graveside service will be held Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Prairie View Cemetery, Friend.
