Kathryn L. Taylor

Kathryn L. Taylor, 86, died, August 19, 2022, at the Sterling Village Senior Living Center in Sterling.

She was born on Dec. 7, 1935, in Leoti,

the daughter of M.F. and Violet Elder Appl. A resident of Scott City, since 1958, moving from Leoti, she was a homemaker and a clerk at Duckwall’s.

Kathryn had recently moved to Sterling Village after 65 years in Scott City. She called Scott City home, but couldn’t wait to be called home by her Lord and Savior. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Scott City.

On April 15, 1956, she married Don Taylor in Leoti. He died on July 9, 2016, in Scott City.

Survivors include her three sons, Steve Taylor and wife, Jennifer, Garden City, Dennis Taylor and wife, LeAnn, Goodland, and Lynn Taylor and wife, Traci, Sterling; one brother, Dale Appl and wife, Dorothea, Leoti; two sisters- in-law, Carol Wilson, Manzanola, Colo., and Wilma Taylor, Sedalia, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother.

A graveside service was held on Aug. 23 at the Scott County Cemetery with Adam Taylor presiding.
