Kenneth Anderson

Kenneth R. Anderson, 92, died Aug. 17, 2023, at St. Catherine Hospital, Garden City.

He was born on April 26, 1931, in Earlsboro, Okla., the son of Wesley Steven and Mary Clementine (Rayfield) Anderson.

Ken had been a resident of Scott City since 1962, moving from Satanta. He managed the local CATV station for 27 years.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Scott City.

On Oct. 24, 1950, he married Stella Marie Masters in Ozark, Ark. She died on Nov. 23, 2012, in Scott City.

Survivors include his son, Steve Anderson and wife, Cathy, Carpenter, Wyo.; daughter, Lois Kuhn and husband, Nick, Wichita; five grandchildren, Michelle Garske and husband, Brett, Northglenn, Colo., John Anderson and wife, Holly, Longmont, Colo., Allison Ingram and husband, Jonathan, Estes Park, Colo., Emily Anderson and partner, P.J. Korte, Fort Collins, Colo., and Tucker Hughes and wife, Mary, Wellington, New Zealand; and eight great-grandchildren, Charlie Spann, Ashley Spann, Pierce Anderson, Olivia Anderson, Cole Ingram, Noah Purdom, Clair Hughes and Gabriel Hughes.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, John Anderson; and three brothers, Raymond, Leon and Carmen Anderson.

The funeral service was held on Aug. 22 at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Goetzinger presiding.

A graveside service was held on Aug. 23 at the Little Cemetery in Seminole, Okla., with Carl Whitfield presiding.
