Leland D. Pfenninger

Leland D. “Lee” Pfenninger, 83, died on Jan. 17, 2022, at the Scott County Hospital, Scott City.

H e was born on Sept. 5, 1938, in Scott City, the son of Carl and Angie (Boring) Pfenninger.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, he spent his life as a cowboy.

Lee attended the First Christian Church, Scott City, was a member of the Amerian Quarter Horse Association and was in the Trail Drivers Hall of Fame.

Survivors include two sons, Dave Pfenninger and wife, Susan, Garden City, and Chris Pfenninger and wife, Patti, Scott City; a brother, Bill Pfenninger and wife, Linda, Hutchinson; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one infant sister.

Visitation will be Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City.

The funeral service will be held on Sat., Jan. 22, 2:00 p.m., at the Scott County Indoor Arena in Scott City with Randy Fisher presiding. The service will be live-streamed at www.priceandsons. com.

Interment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Scott County Hospital or the Scott County Indoor Arena in care of Price and Sons Funeral Homes, Box 553, Scott City, Ks. 67871.
