Leon Farr

Leon D. Farr, 76, died Jan. 24, 2026, at his home in Scott City.

He was born on March 19, 1949, in Scott City, the son of William Oliver and Mildred Rosetta (Russell) Farr. He was a lifetime resident of Scott City.

Leon worked for several different cattle companies, including Kansas Feedyard, Dickhut Feedyard and Ellis Feedyard, as a cattleman.

He was a member of the Christian faith.

On Jan. 17, 1975, he married Pearl E. Hasz in Scott City. She died April 5, 2010, in Wichita.

Survivors include his sisters, Shirley Darlene Bennett, Garden City, and Charlene May Carpenter and husband, Ralph, Garden City; sister-in-law, Roberta Farr, Louisville, Ky. and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Delbert Farr, Donald Farr and Norman Farr; and a sister, Brenda Kay Farr.

The funeral service was held on Feb. 2 at Price and Sons Funeral Home, Scott City, with Mason Bennett presiding.

Interment was in the Scott County Cemetery.
