Maria Del Rosario Villarreal Balderrama

Maria Del Rosario Villarreal Balderrama, 64, died on Sept. 4, 2026, in Scott City.

She was born on October 7, 1962, in Satevo, Chihuahua, the daughter of Jesus and Demetria Balderrama Villarreal.

She had been a resident of Scott City since 2012, moving from Satevo, Chihuahua.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Scott City.

On Feb. 16, 1985, she married Jesus Rodriguez in Satevo, Chihuahua. He survives.

Other survivors include her daughters, Adriana Rodriguez and Oscar Lopez, Scott City, and Ana Cristina Rodriguez and Mario Orozco, Scott City; a son, Jesus Rodriguez and wife, Lupita, Scott City; sisters, Hortencia Villarreal Balderrama, Satevo, Chihuahua, Margarita Rivera, Garden City, Mirina Chavira, Salt Lake City, Utah, Cipriana Villarreal, Salt Lake City, Utah, Herlinda Villarreal, Satevo, Chihuahua, and Oralia Villarreal, Chihuahua, Chihuahua; brothers, Cristobal Balderrama, Garden City, Bonifacio Villarreal, Chihuahua, Chihuahua, and Luis Villarreal, Salt Lake City, Utah; and seven grandchildren, Aldo Munoz, Emilio Alarcon, Dulce Alarcon, Eduardo Munoz, Daleyza Alarcon, Carolina Orozco and Elian Rodriguez.

She was preceded in death by her father, and sister, Maria Elena Villarreal.

The funeral service was held on Sept. 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Scott City, with Father Don Bedore presiding.

Internment was in the Scott County Cemetery.
