Marilyn M. Siegrist

Marilyn M. Siegrist, 88, died on Dec. 6, 2021, at the Scott County Hospital, Scott City.

She was born on Dec. 8, 1932, in Lincoln, Ks., the daughter of Floyde E. and Lynnie Jane (Patterson) Porter.

In 1950, Marilyn graduated from Scott Community High School.

She had been a resident of Scott City since 1996, moving from Garden City. She had been the owner and operator, with her husband, of Siegee’s and The Flight Deck, both of Garden City.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, Scott City.

On June 16, 1952, she married Dennis Siegrist in Alameda, Calif. He survives.

Other survivors include two sons, Randy “J” Siegrist, Scott City, and Rick Siegrist and wife, Jonna, Thorton, Colo.; two daughters, Ronda Meuren and husband, Larry, Greeley, Colo., and Rachelle Chorak and husband, John, Scott City; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and a grandson.

There will be no calling times.

A memorial service will be held on Sat., Dec. 18, 2:00 p.m., at the First Christian Church, Scott City, with Rev. Rodney Hopper presiding. The funeral service will be livestreamed at www. priceandsons.com.

A private family inurnment will be held at a later time at the Scott County Cemetery.
