Mark Chester Fouquet

Mark Chester Fouquet, 73, died, May 12, 2023, at his home in Scott City.

He was born on Sept. 8, 1950, to Chester M. and Dorothy (Dean) Fouquet in Garden City. He was a lifetime resident of Scott City where he owned and operated Fouquet Insurance Agency.

He was a member of the Lake Scott Car Club, an Eagle Scout in the Boy Scouts of America, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City and a sergeant in the United States Army, having served in Vietnam.

On Nov. 20, 1971, he married Terri Lynne Snyder in his hometown of Scott City. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Rebecca Faurot and husband, Shane, Scott City, and Monica Fouquet, Valley Center; two sons, Dan Fouquet and wife, Sharla, Cheney, and Mike Fouquet and wife, Patti, Scott City; two sisters, Ronna Cunningham and husband, Ron, Black Diamond, Wash., and Anna Crane and husband, Jon, Scott City; two brothers, Dean Fouquet and wife, Kim, Missouri, and Joe Fouquet and wife, Brenda, Oklahoma; 11 grandchildren, Emily Faurot, Marshall Faurot, Loren Faurot, Carson Faurot, Tim Fouquet and wife, Chelsea, Claire Fouquet, Adelle Fouquet, Lucy Fouquet, Henry Fouquet, Jess West and Matt West; two great-grandchildren, Hunter and River West; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister, Mary Terease Fouquet.

Funeral vigil was held on May 15 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Scott City. Funeral Mass was held on May 16 at the church with Father Don Bedore presiding.

Interment was in the Scott County Cemetery.
