Marsha McConnell

Marsha Elaine (Crist) McConnell, 77, died May 9, 2026.

She was born on November 25, 1948, in Scott City, to Alfred and Frances (Clinton) Crist She attended Shallow Water School where she graduated in 1966. She also attended Brown Mackie College in Salina and Hays.

She was a member of Prairie View Church of the Brethren and a Sunday school teacher who loved doing puppet skits with the kids.

She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age, and her faith remained the foundation of her life. Her relationship with God was reflected in the deep love, compassion, and devotion she showed to her family daily.

Through her faith, she taught those around her the importance of kindness, strength and unconditional love.

Marsha is survived by her children, Eric Mc-Connell and wife Lisa, Kingfisher, Okla., and Kari Hart, Canyon, Tex.; sisters, Sharolyn Crist Leis, Sand Springs, Okla., and Cynthia Crist Taylor, Glendale, Ariz., grandchildren, Kristi McAlister and husband, Hunter, Woodward, Okla., Miranda Hayes and husband, Grant, Guthrie, Okla., Robert Cheney, Watonga, Okla., Trenton McConnell and fiancé, Carla Britz, Longmont, Colo., Colby Cheney, Canyon, Tex., Staci Hart, Amarillo, Tex., Katrina Barnes and husband, Cody, Kingfisher, Okla., and Breona McConnell, Norman, Okla.; 10 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and nieces and nephews.

Marsha was preceded in death by her parents and brother-in-law, Warren Taylor.

There are no calling times.

A memorial service will be held on Sat., June 6, at noon, at Prairie View Church of the Brethren in Friend, with Pastor Don Williams presiding.
