Mary ‘Jeannette’ Kreie

Mary “Jeannette” Kreie, 92, died Sept. 7, 2021, at her home in Scott City.

S h e was born on Feb. 4, 1929, in Garden City, the daughter of Claude D. and Mary E. (Holmes) Owens.

A resident of Scott City since 2008, moving from Rye, Colo., she was a bookkeeper and cashier.

She was a member of the First Christian Church, Garden City, and the Scott City Quilt Guild.

On April 4, 1948, she married Frank A. Kreie, Jr., in Garden City. He died on May 22, 2012, in Scott City.

Survivors include her one daughter, Sandra Cauthon and husband, Stuart, Scott City; and two sisters, Janice Logan, Midland, Mich., and Judith Belknap, Garden City; and two grandsons, Sean Collins, Garden City, and Shannon Collins, Scott City.

She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Bill Owens.

A private family service will be held at a later date and time.
