Mavis Jane Holland

Mavis Jane Holland, 81, died Feb. 6, 2022, at her home in Scott County.

S h e was born on Sept. 10, 1940, in Leachville. Ark., the daughter of Murel and Melisie (Keltner) Cox.

Mavis had been a resident of Scott County since 2000, moving from Ballard County in Western Kentucky. She was a dietician.

Mavis was a member of the First Baptist Church, Scott City.

Survivors include her daughter, Alonna Mantzke and partner, Juan Carrera, Scott City; a sister, Sylvia Pullman, of Arizona; grandson, Steven Howell and wife, Renee, Scott City; granddaughter, Mellissa Powell, Scott City; a great-grandson, Baylyn Mantzka and wife, Kassandra, Leoti; 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sons, Willard Crabtree, Jr., and Murel Crabtree.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
