Michael A. Todd

Michael A. Todd, 70, peacefully passed away on February 1, 2023, at his home in Scott City.

H e was born on October 14, 1952, in Ak r o n , Colo., the son of Harold and Mary (Dickinson) Todd.

Mike grew up in Leoti and moved to Scott City in 1993 where he was the public works director for the City of Scott City for 19 years before retiring.

He was a member of the Spuds Coffee Group and was an avid hunter.

On April 16, 1985, he married Kay Simons in Tribune.

Survivors include his wife, Kay, Scott City; three children, Ryan Todd and wife, Shannon, Gainesville, Fla., Chastel Vallerand and husband, Eric, Gainesville, Fla., and Jeffrey Gilmore and wife, Rachel, Terry, Miss.; mother-in-law Norma Heiney, Scott City; sister- in-law, Carlisa Davis, Scott City; five grandchildren, Kambrea Gilmore, of Terry, Miss., and Nathan Vallerand, Lyra Todd, Callan Todd and Alden Todd, all of Gainesville; and great friends, numerous relatives and Maggie, Spike and his cat family.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Brett Todd.

Visitation will be Mon., Feb. 6, 1:00-8:00 p.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home, 410 S. Washington St., Scott City.

A memorial service will be held on Tues., Feb. 7, 2:00 p.m., at the Western Kansas Child Advocacy Center, 212 E. 5th Street, Scott City, with Pastor Don Williams presiding.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Mike Todd Memorial Fund in care of Price and Sons Funeral Homes, Box 553, Scott City, Ks. 67871.

A private family inurnment will be held at a later time.
