Monta May Rose, 71, died, April 10, 2023, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City.
She was born March 18, 1952, in Yuma, Colo., to Albert Neitz and Myrtle Speltz.
Monta was a mother, grandmother and a greatgrandmother and friend to many. She spent most of her life living and working in Scott City as a store clerk, cook and CNA/ CMA.
She had lived the last 14 years in Russell. She enjoyed horses, puzzles, fishing, cooking and spending time with her boys and their families.
She married Burton Rose in 1972 and later divorced. He survives.
Other survivors include her children, Corey Rose and wife, Julie, Clenton Rose and wife, Anita, and Cheyenne Rose, all of Scott City, and Cody Rose and wife, Jessica, Dorrance; a brother, Duane Miller; a sister, Myrtle Armstrong; father-in-law, Delbert Rose; grandchildren, Chance Rose, Kris Rose and wife, Kelsie, Anthony Rose, Kasha Chelemedos and husband, Chance, Sierra Rose, Chelsie Rose, Adrian Weber and husband, Mason, and Audrey Buzzell and husband, Sam; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, eight brothers, and mother-inlaw, Pat Rose.
