Nancy Ann (Milward) Turley
Nancy Ann (Milward) Turley, 80, died, Oct. 23, 2023, at Medicalodges in Fort Scott.
She was born on June 29, 1943, in Joplin, Mo., to James and Dorothy (Turtine) Milward. She was the oldest of two children.
Nancy attended school in Rantoul and graduated from Paola High School in the class of 1961.
While attending her 54th high school reunion, Nancy reconnected with classmate Laverl Turley. She and Laverl were united in marriage on Oct. 3, 2015, in Las Vegas, Nev. He survives.
Upon their marriage, Nancy gained three children: Michelle, Christine and Timothy. They made their home in Santa Maria, Calif., until 2018 when they moved to Ft. Scott to be closer to family.
During her high school years, Nancy worked at the telephone office in Rantoul. She worked many years at First National Bank of Osawatomie and the Miami County Courthouse in Paola.
For 20 years prior to retirement, Nancy was an at-home data processor for Cookbook Publishers, Lenexa.
Nancy enjoyed gardening and always took pride in her yard and flowers. She loved her family and spending time with them as well as traveling and sightseeing across the country with her husband.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents.
She is also survived by her children, Melissa Goudie and husband, Jesse Cole, Columbia, Mo., Scott Goudie and wife, Julie, Acton, Md., Michelle Brazda and husband, Jay, Timken, Christine Wiss and husband, Brian, Derby, and Timothy Turley and wife, Jasmine, Phoenix, Ariz.; a sister, Linda Puckett and husband, Douglas, Olathe; grandchildren, Nathan Boone and wife, Jill, Grant Goudie, Kellen Goudie, Rhys Goudie, Daniel Lopez, Emmaletta Kelly, Toshiko Kelly, Katherine Findley, and Sara Shafer; 27 great-grandchildren and five great-greatgrandchildren; along with other family and friends.
