Norma Heiney

Norma Jean Heiney, 89, died July 4, 2024, at Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City.

She was born on Feb. 22, 1935, in Garnett, the daughter of Theodore and Benita (Brown) Williamson.

A resident of Scott City since 2000, moving from Ford, she was a homemaker.

In 1953, she married Carl A. Simons in Garnett. He died on May 25, 1976, in Leoti.

She then married James W. Heiney in 1978, in Las Vegas, Nev. He died on Feb. 8, 1999, in Dodge City.

Survivors include her daughters, Kay Todd and C.J. Davis, both of Scott City, and eight grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; and two grandsons, Brett Todd and Jared Bishop.

A private memorial graveside service will be held at a later date.
