Patric West

Patric Michael West, 74, died Jan. 23, 2025, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

He was born on August 20, 1950, in Scott City, the son of Edgar Wayne Sr. and Phyliss (Wheelock) West.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, he was a mill operator for 26 years and a shop worker for 21 years at Fairleigh Corporation.

Patric was a United States Navy veteran, serving from 1969-73, and a member of the First Christian Church.

On August 21, 1973, he married Marilyn Sue Wright in Scott City. She survives.

Other survivors include his daughters, Cara Hartman and husband, Curtis, Herington, Brandy Heim and husband, Patrick, Scott City, and Andrea Freer and husband, Bill, Henderson, Tex.; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Edgar West and John West; and a sister, Dawn Ellen Leiker.

The funeral service was held Jan. 28 at the First Baptist Church, Scott City, with Don Williams presiding.

Interment was in the Scott County Cemetery.
