Patti Strickler

Patricia R. “Patti” Strickler, 80, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, at the Good Shepherd Hospice Home in Manhattan, Ks.

She was born on Nov. 1, 1942, in Ains worth, Nebr., the daughter of David W. and Margaret M. (Donahoe) Berry.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, she worked for USD 466 (Scott County) for over 36 years, serving as both secretary and clerk of the board before retiring in 2012.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Funds for Fun, Xi Delta Kappa Sorority and VFW Auxiliary Post No. 7773, all of Scott City.

Patti was also an avid Kansas State University football and basketball fan and enjoyed attending her granddaughter’s events.

On Nov. 22, 1974, she married Vincent J. Strickler in Cimarron. He survives.

Other survivors include one daughter, Suzette Price and husband, Chris, Scott City; a sister, Colleen Brand, Scott City; a brother, Peter Berry; two granddaughters, Addison Price and Emma Pricer, both of Overland Park.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Lawrence Berry.

Visitation will be on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Price and Sons Funeral Home, 410 S. Washington St., Scott City.

A graveside service will be held on Sat., March 25, 2:00 p.m., at the Scott County Cemetery with Steve Payne presiding.
