Roy A. Wright

Roy A. Wright, 73, died, Oct. 25, 2022, at the Columbus Community Hospital, Columbus, Nebr.

H e was born on Dec. 31, 1948, in Logan County, the son of William Clifford and Margaret Idella (Russell) Wright.

A lifetime resident of Scott County, Roy was a farmer, mechanic, and ranch and feed yard hand.

He was a member of the Pyramid View Church in Logan County.

On March 13, 1971, he married Rose M. Wilson in Leoti. She survives.

Other survivors include two daughters, Sara L. Morlan, Scott City and Sherry Wright, of Oklahoma; one daughter-in-law, Kim Wright, Scott City; two sisters, Sue West and husband Patric, and Carolyn Hundertmark and husband, Walter; seven brothers, Dewey Wright and wife, Cora, Dan Wright and wife, Evelyn, Wilbur Wright, Marion Wright, Gary Wright and wife, Geneva, and Harold Wright and wife, Wanda, all of Scott City, and Galen Wright and wife, Louise, Sublette; eight grandchildren, Heather Wright, Damyan Wright and wife, Jalisa, Layton Wright and wife, Shylan, Janee Morlan, Jeff Wright, Luke Wright, Mazee Wright and Kooper Wright; and five great-grandchildren, Declan Wright, Jeremiah Wright, Maddie Wright, Jentrie Morlan and Barry A. Wright.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Steve A. Wright; five brothers, Harlan, Cleve, Milton, Elvin and Marvin; and two sisters, Velda Spencer and Della Morgan.

Funeral service was held Nov. 1 at the First Christian Church, Scott City, with Rev. Rodney Hopper presiding.

Burial will be in the Pyramid View Cemetery, Logan County.
