Stanley D. Dirks

Stanley D. Dirks, 64, died at his home in Scott County on Sept. 1, 2021.

H e was born on July 7, 1957, in Scott City, the son of Albert and Donna (Speer) Dirks Jr.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, Stanley was an assistant manager for different feedlots and grain elevators over the years.

He was a member of the Gold Prospectors, EAA, and Trappers, Inc., and was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Survivors include his two sons, Dwayne Dirks, Leonard, Tex., and Josh Dirks, Scott City; one daughter, Lisa Birney, Burlington; 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and parents.

A memorial service was held Sept. 8 at Price and Sons Funeral Home in Scott City with Rev. Kyle Evans presiding.
