Thomas W. McCollum

Thomas W. McCollum, 76, died Sept. 15, 2025, at the Scott County Hospital in Scott City.

He was born on May 13, 1949, in Scott City, the son of Richard A. and Sandy (Meis) McCollum.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, he was farmer, business owner and maintenance man.

He was a member of the First Christian Church in Scott City.

Tom was a graduate of Scott Community High School and earned a bachelors degree from Wichita State University.

Survivors include his son, Rich McCollum, and wife, Wendy Tatro, Webster Groves, Mo.; brother, John McCollum, Scott City; sisters, Patricia Hoeme and husband, Robert, Scott City, and Judy Browning and husband, Don, Atlanta, Ga.; two granddaughters and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Anita McCollum.

There will be no calling times A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Inurnment will be in the Scott County Cemetery.
