Tina M. McMichael

Tina M. McMichael, 61, died Oct. 25, 2021, at her home in Garden City.

She was born on May 31, 1960, in Hoxie, the daughter of Tom Ellis and Ruth Marie (William) Irwin.

She had been a resident of Garden City since 1964, moving from Hoxie. She was a caretaker for adults and children with disabilities.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Holcomb.

On May 26, 1979, she married Terry McMichael in Garden City. He died on Nov. 8, 2000, in Garden City.

Survivors include her son, Dustin McMichael, Garden City; daughter, Kristi McMichael; two brothers, Stuart Irwin and wife, Venus, Johnson, and Shaun Irwin, Garden City; three sisters, Renie Irwin, Scott City, Veronica Courchesne and husband, Steve, Fletcher, Okla., and Brenda Streekfus and husband, John, Garden City; six grandchildren, Madison (Ortiz) Santoyo, Springfield, Colo., Abigail Ortiz, Alex Ortiz, Chloe Flores, Zach Strong, and Kaitlyn Hardesty, all of Garden City; and two great-grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents.

A memorial service will be held Fri., Nov. 12, 2:00 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Holcomb with the Rev. Jon Sanders presiding.

There will be no calling times.
