Verle L. Huff

Verle L. Huff, 82, died, on June 29, 2023, at Park Lane Nursing Home, Scott City.

He was born on Dec. 16, 1940, in Agra, the son of Archie and Alice (Stockham) Huff. He had been a resident of Scott City since 1980, moving from Oakley.

He had served in the U.S. Marine Corps, earning the rank of lance corporal. He was a truck driver for most of his life, On Oct. 3, 1960, he married Rose I. Yehle at the United Methodist Church in Oakley. She died on Nov. 4, 2022, in Scott City.

Survivors include one brother, Richard Huff, Laguna Hills, Calif., and one brother-in-law, Merle Dean Yehle, North Attleborough, Mass.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brother, Donald.

The funeral service was held July 6 at Price and Sons Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Payne presiding.

The graveside service was held at the Wallace Cemetery in Wallace.
