PRATT - A Kansas angler’s prized catch may actually be worth a prize this spring and summer. The first-ever Great Kansas Fishing Derby will run through Sept. 15, with at least 500 specially tagged fish located in more than 40 public waterbodies in Kansas.
The process of preparing a young and inexperienced roster for more significant playing time on next season’s basketball roster has begun for the Scott Community High School girls.
Scott Community High School junior Lawson Bailey and sophomore Brady Welker were each named to the Class 3A All-State team in voting by members of the Kansas Association of Baseball Coaches (KABC).
To say that the offense was anemic last fall for the Scott Community High School football team would be an understatement.
Visitors to any of the state parks in Kansas can enjoy the opportunity to fish without needing a license on Saturday and Sunday, June 4-5.
