Costly turnovers and an inability to keep Hoisington’s guards from driving the paint were a costly combination for the Scott City boys in a season-opening, 62-55, loss on the home floor last Friday.
A wave of momentum carried the Scott Community High School girls to an early lead in their season opener against Hoisington.
The layout of the competition gym at the Scott Community Events Center will look a little different during the upcoming basketball and wrestling seasons.
Early season basketball tournament action will get underway next week for area schools.
