Untimely errors led to five runs over the final two innings as Towanda-Circle rallied for a 7-4 win over Scott City in the first round of the Class 4A regional baseball tournament played Tuesday at Clay Center.
Entering the Class 4A regional tennis tournament, there was little doubt that Scott City and Buhler would be contending for the team title. That was evident as both teams faced each other in the singles and doubles championship finals and in the singles consolation finals.
Locked in a scoreless pitcher’s duel through the first 5-1/2 innings, Scott City ace Cheyenne Cramer took matters into her own hands at the plate.
