With a double-header sweep at Hugoton on Tuesday, Scott City secured a No. 3 seed in the Class 3A regional baseball tournament that begins on Tuesday at Goodland.
Playing the difficult Tamarisk Golf Course, the Scott City golf team earned third place with a total score of 363.
After letting a four run lead disappear, the Scott Community High School softball team found a way to scratch out a run in the eighth inning to take the opener at Liberal on Monday, 6-5.
