Feeling anguish: GOP can’t avoid blame for culture they have created
In the four days leading up to June 14 there were eight mass shootings in the United States that led to 12 deaths and 27 injuries.
Shootings are so commonplace in America today that we have become immune to their impact. It’s not until one of those incidents involves an individual of “consequence” such as a U.S. Congressman - a Republican Congressman, no less - that it becomes a national tragedy.
