Grads: there are no alternate facts
It’s that time of year once again when graduates are anxiously waiting to grab their diplomas or degrees while those of us who are definitely older and presume to be wiser are saying, “Not so fast.”
After all these years, we feel compelled to offer some parting advice that will supposedly be the difference between success and failure. Never have so many words of wisdom fallen upon ears less interested in what’s being said.
However, in keeping with this unavoidable tradition we offer some simple, yet valuable advice: facts will always be facts. Or, put yet another way, there’s no such thing as “alternative facts.”
