Legislation isn’t about bullied kids
History has demonstrated time and again that a number of Republican lawmakers aren’t big supporters of public education.
For them it’s always about the money. Schools demand too much and offer too little in return. More money doesn’t equate to higher achievement. Too much money goes to administration. Too little gets into the classroom.
And let’s not even talk about how the courts are always siding with public education.
Consequently, lawmakers are always looking for some excuse to shift more money away from public schools that is not subject to the long reach of the Kansas Supreme Court.
