Now Colyer wants to listen
There’s natural curiosity about the man who will soon be gifted the governor’s office and has hopes of earning a full four-term on his own merit.
Until now, Jeff Colyer has been the man in the empty suit occupying the lieutenant governor’s office. In that respect he’s not much different from most other lieutenant governors who have been anonymous and forgettable.
It wasn’t so long ago that Kansas saw a similar situation when Gov. Kathleen Sebelius left office to join the Obama Administration. Mark Parkinson ascended into the governor’s office and served the remaining two years of her term.
