There’s still no cure for stupid
While the impact of Covid-19 on the world’s health and economy can’t be understated, it’s not the biggest problem we face. It could reasonably be argued that Covid-19 is part of an even bigger virus . . . ignorance.
Unfortunately, there’s no cure now or on the horizon a year from now. Or as Larry the Cable Guy has astutely observed, “You can’t fix stupid.”
Not that it began with the Tea Party movement, but it was magnified when people missing half their teeth with a banjo slung over their shoulder were shouting into the television camera, “Keep your government hands off my Medicare,” in protest of Obamacare.
