For months, Donald Trump has been preparing for the prospect of an election loss by claiming the process is “rigged.” Just like everything else about this president, it’s an old play that he continues to pull from the same old playbook.

According to history, or legend, as Ben Franklin was walking out of Independence Hall following the Constitutional Convention in 1787, someone shouted to him, “Doctor, what have we got? A republic or a monarchy?”

After one of the most expensive and divisive presidential election years in recent history, the overriding question looking forward will be, “What’s changed?”
