While they aren’t offering full-throated allegations of a stolen election like their twice-impeached leader, Kansas Republicans continue to be good foot soldiers in the battle against non-existent voter fraud.
Even as Cincinnati’s winning field goal was going through the uprights in the AFC championship game, claims of a “stolen game” were already coming out of Kansas and Missouri.

The playbook is getting a little frayed at the edges, but for most of the past century, Republicans have made socialism a cornerstone of their attacks against Democratic policies.
Election integrity is the justification that Republicans offer when defending the stolen election lie and all its connected tentacles from voter suppression, to the January 6 insurrection, frivolous lawsuits, opposition to the Freedom to Vote Act and, most recently, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s Orwellian proposal to have “election police.”
