Americans are living the lifestyle of energy hogs

Normally, I would be in China now, reporting back on Asian education. However, this year I will teach at a Chinese university the last three months of 2017. What am I not missing?

I shave each morning and in China, one cup of water has to suffice. In the U.S., I let the hot water run to wash the blades after each shaving stroke. Oink!

In China, my trips to the store to buy food or household items are few and planned. Public transport is convenient. I could also ride in a cheap taxi that runs on four-cylinders.
