2.8% COLA for City of SC employees
Employees for the City of Scott City will get a 2.8 percent cost-of-living-adjustment (COLA) in their paychecks effective January 1.
However, the city council scaled back merit pay increases on the heels of a 15 percent increase in health insurance premiums which the city provides for nearly all its employees.
Merit pay increases are based on individual evaluations by each department head. Depending on how employees score, they are eligible for pay increases of up to two percent on top of the COLA.
