Brief reprieve for trailers, RVs on city streets
Enforcement of a new Scott City ordinance that bans the long-term parking of trailers, boats, RVs and streets has been put on temporary hold.
The ordinance was passed last fall, but the city council wasn’t going to begin enforcement until after January 1 to allow the owners of these vehicles, etc., time to make other arrangements for storage.
Because of the recent storm, Police Chief Chris Jurgens told the council at Monday’s meeting he was going to wait a little additional time before enforcing the ordinance.
