Davis brings real-life experiences to 1st District race
Most politicians can talk about the plight of family farmers, how essential it is to have affordable healthcare, helping children with special needs and the importance of keeping businesses in rural communities.
That describes Christy Cauble Davis’ life.
A Democratic candidate for the First District congressional seat being vacated by Roger Marshall, Davis is anything but a typical politician.
In fact, it’s her experiences in life that put Davis in a unique position to represent the sprawling, 63-county district.
“I have a lot of personal experiences, challenges that I’ve faced in my life, that make it possible for me to relate to the needs of so many other people,” said Davis during a stop in Scott City last weekend. “I know the day-to-day struggles that people face because me and my family have faced some of the same issues.”
