Finding his mark
From the time that Darrel Miller took aim at his first clay target, one could say that he was hooked on trapshooting.
The Scott City resident thinks of it as a hobby . . . only this isn’t an ordinary hobby.
It’s taken Miller across the United States and has seen him shoot 261,000 clay targets. If laid end to end, they would stretch for more than 17-1/2 miles.
“In a way, I’m not that surprised,” says Miller at the astonishing number of clays. “It’s something I’ve really enjoyed doing and I figured if I kept doing it long enough I’d eventually get there.”
